A Lady stopped me by chance one day to ask questions. By chance it was under some Oak Trees and by chance there were some Willowherbs close by and by chance there was this Purple Hairstreak, which I would not otherwise have noticed but for being detained. They only inhabit the top of Oak Trees and very rarely descend to feed. That was such a time and I nearly dismissed it as a Moth, half-hidden in the folds of the leaves. Fortunately I persisted until it fully emerged to pose for my macro lens: July 13th.
