Common (Moorland) Hawker ovipositing: September 27th.
I apologise for a poor video which lacked lens reach on the day. At first I thought an item of litter wafting in the reeds. Turned out to be an emerging Dragonfly. Video in two 30 second parts approximately. The first when the Dragonfly had just emerged from the Exuvia and the second clip a couple of hours later once the Dragonfly had started to firm up but still buried in reeds. You do get to see the wings opened briefly. Pond Number Seven which is just outside the Goyt (see Route Four): June 21st.
