| There are few Damselflies in this part of the world and at the time of writing cannot recall if I have seen the Emerald in the Goyt Valley. They certainly surround the Goyt Valley and are surprisingly hardy, despite being delioate. If I have not recorded any of the species on the first line, that does not mean they are not there. The second line is not an impossible ambition. I would expect to see the Banded Demoiselle but they tend to be localised and again favour fresh water. Entries in italicised typeface include video. |

| * Declaration: Not yet seen or heard of in the Goyt Valley. There are others but I will not mention them without reasonable cause. It is not an unrealistic expectation that first two of the last three above might appear. |
