| I will present mosses and lichens in exactly the same way as Fungi, for the same reasons. My knowledge of this subject is even less than Fungi but I have always been amazed by them. I cannot post names as I do not have access to the knowledge required. However if anyone is interested in exploring further, it needs to be emphasised that although Mosses and Lichens are often referred to in association with each other, they are in no way similar. They do however tend to occur in nature in the same environment. |

| Mosses are plants, Lichens are not plants. Lichens comprise at least two distinct life forms from the five biological kingdoms including the Kingdom of Fungi, the Kingdom of Protists (algae) and sometimes the Kingdom of Monerans (bacteria) as well. To my unqualified eye some diverse forms of Lichens could be mistaken for Mosses and vice-versa. |
