Shining Tor to V - MAIN > MAIN 2 > MAIN 3 >

Again only a short but much used stretch on various routes. From Shining Tor this track takes you half way to the Cat and Fiddle. You can also see the well known Shutlingsloe peak which at 506 metres is the second highest peak in Cheshire. You can also clearly see Jodrell Bank on a fair day. Does not need to be perfect (which it never is). On days when I have had the whole route to myself I have snapped, Grouse, Wheatear, Golden Plover, Snow Bunting and more. I tend to leave the higher altitudes until the insect season ends.
