| When I see Errwood Hall I always think of Jane Austen and her tragically short life. That life ended only a few years before Errwood Hall was built, which in turn had a short life of less than 100 years. Dense vegetation prevents useful shots but only scraps remain anyway. You can see a foundation plan of Errwood Hall and immediate surroundings on this Derbyshire CC map (IMG) and that may help you to understand the images. I assume we always begin with the East elevation perhaps, as that is the most visually appealing of what little remains. |
